Churchyard & Umpleby Construction (Pty) Ltd. (C&U) is a full service provider of structural steelwork and platework to the construction industry. We are proud that in September 2013 Churchyard & Umpleby celebrated “50 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE!”, a milestone truly to be proud of.

We have project management, design, shop detailing, fabrication, abrasive blast cleaning and corrosion protection and erection capabilities. Our workshop has capacity of circa 350 tons per month depending on the category of steelwork.
Our clients include RBM, Assmang, Mozal, Transnet, Consol Glass, Shoprite, Unilever, Bosch Projects, Mondi, Engen, Toyota, DCSA, ACSA, Trident Steel, Huletts Aluminium, Mondi, SAPPI and many others.
We successfully operate a quality management system and are accredited with an ISO 9001: 2015 listing.
Churchyard & Umpleby is currently under review in order to be graded as a Level 4 Contributor in terms of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBB-EE).
We are also registered with the CIDB in the 7SL PE category. Other memberships include the SAISC, SAIW, ISF, SEIFSA, MEIBC and MBA.
